The student ministry at HBC exists to:
Expand God’s kingdom among junior high and high school students, to deepen their Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, to help them develop life-changing relationships in a positive, safe environment, and to encourage them to love God and serve others through their unique set of gifts and abilities.
At Highland we aim to accomplish this in a variety of ways, including our weekly programs:
Sunday Morning Bible Study
A time for students to meet together and grow deeper in God’s word. There’s a rumor that donuts are usually involved as well! Meets at 9:30ish in the Student Area.
Our weekly time for students to worship together and hear a message from God’s word that is geared towards their life. While we are serious about God’s word, it is also a fun and relaxed time where everyone is encouraged to come and connect! So come join us and invite your friends, as we learn to love God together. We meet at 5:45 in the “lighthouse room.”
S.N.A.C. (Sunday Night After Church)
S.N.A.C. is a fun activity that we do each week after Eruption. Whether it’s playing “whirlyball,” or just hanging out at a local restaurant, it’s a place for our students to develop community and life-changing relationships with one another. Location varies weekly.
Girls’ Home Group—We have a group of girls who meet on Tuesday nights in a nearby home for a chance to connect with each other, share what is going on in their lives, and grow deeper in their faith. Contact Brandon for more information on times and location, if you are interested.
This is a brief overview of our ministry, but if you would like some more details on upcoming events and activities, check out our upcoming events here.
If you’re looking for a place to bring your student, where he or she can hear the word of God in a loving community, where students are cared for by adults and each other, we would love for you to come check us out.
